Apollo

  • Date of Birth: 04/23/2010
  • Date of Passing: 09/13/2023

Apollo was my best friend for 13 years. He loved cheese, neck rubs, cuddling with pillows, rolling in the grass and resting his head on my shoulder during thunderstorms. He was particular about his toys and would only enjoy playing with stuffed animals with no stuffing. I would say “go get your rag!” Silly boy. The most special boy of all. He was 5 years old when my daughter was born and he wouldn’t leave her side for anything. When she cried he was the first in the room. Apollo hated baths and up until the day he passed, he would bust down the bathroom door to make sure my daughter wasn’t hating her bath as well. I’ll miss her yelling “Apollo I’m fine!!”
You will be truly missed baby boy. Until we meet again at the bridge, remember you’re always loved.

Apollo, baby boy, you left your mark on everyone’s heart who met you. I’d always ask your mom, “Let me see the baby,” and she’d send me a picture of you resting that beautiful noggin on one of your pillows, off in dreamland because you knew you were safe in your mommas presence & vice versa. Forever your momma’s protector, always by her side. I know you’re having fun up there running around with your friends and eating all the string cheese, cereal milk and bread crust a good boy could want, but pop down back to earth & check on your momma from time to time, ok bud? You know you were her first born, first love, so it’s going to be hard for her (all of us- because you were a star in these parts!) adjusting to life without you but we know we’ll see you again! Thank you for all the serotonin, smiles, cuddles & for showing people pit bulls really are just big old babies! You were truly one of a kind, Pollo. Rest easy handsome boy ❤️‍🩹
