Blanket
Blanket was the perfect Halloween cat,
her fur was like velvet in midnight,
with the pointed ears of a sharp bat.
Sister of my late and stolen feline friend,
she grew to trust and snuggle for a pat,
our dairy-loving thief who filled the void.
And just like that,
Blanket lays down once more,
for the skies is where she is at.
