In Loving Memory of Cinny Lucille
March 12, 2016 – June 7, 2026
Today we said goodbye to our beautiful girl, Cinder.
From the moment she came home at just 7 weeks old, Cinder was never “just a dog.” She was a constant companion, a protector, a best friend, and a cherished member of our family. For more than ten years, she filled our lives with love, loyalty, and countless memories that we will carry forever.
Cinder had a spirit that was equal parts adventurous and affectionate. She loved splashing in the water, riding in the car with her family, and enjoying an ice cream treat whenever she got the chance. She took her job of keeping the yard free of squirrels, rodents, and any other unwelcome critters very seriously, always ready to spring into action at a moment’s notice.
She explored countless roads, parks, campgrounds, and destinations alongside the people she loved most. Her travels took her from the beauty of Mackinac Island to the wonder of Niagara Falls and so many treasured places in between. Wherever the journey led, Cinder was happiest simply being with her family.
But beyond her adventurous side, Cinder was a world-class snuggler. She loved being close to the people she loved most, offering comfort, companionship, and unconditional love every day of her life.
She was so well-behaved, so dependable, and so perfectly herself that we often joked she was a “robot dog.” Everything about her seemed too good to be true. She was the dog everyone hopes for and few are lucky enough to find.
Cinder’s greatest joy was her family, and her family was blessed beyond measure to be loved by her.
Though our hearts are broken, we take comfort in knowing that every day of her life was filled with love. She knew she was cherished. She knew she belonged. And she leaves behind a lifetime of memories that will never fade.
Run free, my sweet Cinny Pie. Chase every squirrel, splash in every stream, and enjoy all the ice cream your heart desires.
You were our once-in-a-lifetime dog.
You were loved every single day.
You will be missed every single day for the rest of our lives.
Forever loved. Forever missed. Forever our girl.
