Coco was a tiny little guy with a big heart. He loved his mom and grandma and was so smart and well behaved. He knew how to sit, beg, give his paw, roll over, lay down.
He was very protective of his family. Coco had the heart of a lion; he would face any dog (or any person) no matter the size! He wasn’t very fond of children, men, or younger stepsisters Lily and Lyla, but he tolerated them. He absolutely loved being out in the sun, there could never be a sun too hot for him. He loved to be in his mom’s or grandma’s laps. When laying or relaxing with his family, he would snuggle all the way under the covers, we weren’t sure how he could even breathe under there! He also got really excited when he went “buh-bye in the car”. Sometimes he was so excited that while he was in the car, he would yelp until we got to our destination. He always tried to look out the window but was too small to reach, so we would hold him in our lap so he could see.
He was such a tiny puppy, about the size of a hamster. We didn’t know he was a mini Chihuahua when we first got him, we only found out after he stopped growing at just 4 lbs! He was tiny but full of personality!
Coco was so loved during his 17 years of life. We miss him greatly and he can never be replaced. He will forever be our ‘baby boy’.

I’m so sad for you Cheryl. I know he followed you all around the house or was on your lap. He used to make me laugh when I’d come over and he’d be barking like crazy. You’d think he was gonna chew my leg off!! And he was so TINY!! Your heart is aching now but he left you lots of memories to smile about. ☀️Hope you.have better days ahead ☀️
I helped watch Coco while Mary was attending college and working when she first got him. We were kind of coparenting at that time, lol. But after my husband, Greg, died in 2022 Mary gave him to me to take full-time to keep me company. I was so happy she did that. He was my little buddy and companion. He’s the only dog I’ve ever had in my life and he was just perfect. I miss him so much.
My aunt and I groomed CoCo for so many years. He was absolutely the sweetest Chihuahua I have ever come across. He didn’t even give us trouble trimming his nails which is very unusual for a chihuahua! Run free in heaven good boy, wishing you eternal sunshine.
Very sorry to see this
