After 14 years, our sweet Luna girl crossed the rainbow bridge. Nothing can prepare you for saying goodbye to your childhood dog. Luna was by my side as I grew up: graduated high school, went to college, got married, bought our first house. I remember her puppy days, stealing food off the table, eating my leftover crust from my toast, and all her jumping. I cherished her old age as she became a gentle, steady presence in our household. We will expect to see her curled up sleeping by the kitchen, we will miss her quiet snores, and we will miss how we had to vacuum around her because she just wouldn’t move.
Luna loved walks, sunbathing, stuffed toys, and treats, of course.
We are so heartbroken by this loss, but we feel incredibly grateful that she lived a very long, happy, healthy life. She was loved by so many. We know she is where there is endless sunshine and all of her favorite things.
