Scruffy

Scruffy (AKA…Pookie, Scruffers Golden) passed away from Feline Mammary Carcinoma on 1/24/2023. In 2016 she was abandoned and left for a while outside my back patio. She was a Ragdoll , maybe a mixed breed who was always near my door. She was struggling and her fur was matted, so I brought her into our home and into our lives. I wanted to help her…wondered how I could care for her due to my disability and 2 other cats. I’m so glad now that I did. She was absolutely beautiful…those eyes!!! How could anyone have thrown her away? I’ll never understand that, to abandon an indoor only kind of cat who couldn’t survive outdoors for long.
Well…my daughter and I are now heartbroken and feel lost with her gone. I thank God that he brought Scruffy to us and allowed us to love and care for her for 6 years. I’ve now sent her back to Him and know that she has crossed the “rainbow bridge” meeting up with her best pal Pinky… she’s truly in Heaven!
