Toby

Toby loved car rides to the country, and shredded cheese overtop of his dog food. A lot of times he wouldn’t eat until he had something special in his bowl, because he knew he would get something better if he waited long enough. He howled at the weather sirens when they would go off for tests each month, and would ring a bell attached to the door to go sit outside and enjoy a nice day. He would wait excitedly for his mommy to get home and would greet us every day with a wagging tail.
You were the puppy I begged for as a little girl, and the best surprise ever. 17 years didn’t seem like enough time. You were my best boy, and my best friend. The one I cried the hardest and laughed the loudest with.

On Sunday, April 30th, we lost our best boy! At 17 years and 12 days old his little body was dealing with more than it could handle.
Toby was the best dog! A loyal friend and trusted companion that had seen my family through some of its happiest and darkest times!
We will miss you sweet boy….run free… where the grass is green, the sun is always shining, and the breeze blows gently! Where every day is a trip to the country that you loved, and bunnies and squirrels are available in abundance for you to chase to your hearts delight. I love you forever!
