My soulmate in a cat… I have a hard time referencing him as a cat because truthfully he was my son.

Brucie was a very smart Manx, understood simple commands, always listened, loved to be outside and go for walks, and was the biggest cuddle buddy ever. He’d always know when I was upset, and would become extra clingy in those moments to make you feel better. I could go from crying to laughing when he was around because of his quirky personality. Bruce coming into my life was unexpected and when he did it was at a time I needed it most. Little did I know how much we were going to rely on each other for the next 14 years…

I’m going to miss every little (and big) thing about you, B… From your two extra thumbs on each paw, your bunny-nub as a tail, you trying to grab door knobs, the tapping sounds of your nails on the hardwood floor, coming to the door to greet me, following me everywhere, the countless nose-boops, kisses you loved getting all over constantly, your little squeaks instead of meows, the slow-blinks every time we made eye contact, watching the tub fill up and jumping on the side when I took a bath, and your desire to always be cuddling me or your dad.

My garden used to be a place of tranquility for Brucie and I, and now it won’t be as complete without him watching me play in the dirt, trying to catch grasshoppers, and me constantly chasing him away from eating grass and most things green. He was extremely chill and so loving. 💘

Rest easy my sweet, sweet angel. You’ve made a huge impact on a lot of lives (a massive impact on me and your dad’s) and we’re all going to miss you so very dearly.

We love you forever and always, Brucie. 🌈 🐾 💕
