Momo Cathhew Albertalli aka Momo Bear aka Porkchop McGee aka Mostopheles aka Mobius aka Dr. Nudie Pants came to us on September 1, 2018 all the way from Kuwait. Kirsten at Specialty Purebred CAT Rescue knew we’d be the perfect family for him, so with his passport in hand, he joined our family (3 other cats at that time, Vader, Dusty and Padme). Momo at first would only hoot (he eventually learned to meow) and was a ferocious hunter and food stealer. His favorite foods were pizza, Mac and cheese, chimkin and grandma soup. This was funny considering he only had four teeth. His smize and his popcorn purrs became famous and he had quite the Instagram following (KittehMomo) and his youth made us realize he was a little kid compared to our bigger cats, so just after a year of rescuing him, Kirsten helped us rescue two more cats, Spooky and Billy. Momo instantly knew they were his brothers, and jumped the fence the first night to love on them. He must have known Kirsten sent him two brothers because they were inseparable from the moment he saw them. Together we had the Bigs and the Littles. Momo was the chilliest cat you’d know (you could vacuum his beautiful fur and he would not be bothered) and he had the absolute softest fur (he was a purebred European Persian after all, and he may have been a displaced Prince). Sweet Momo Bear was taken from us too soon, but we know he was met at the Rainbow Bridge by his brothers and sister (Spooky, Billy, Vader and Padme) as well as his girlfriend Snuit, as well as our dearest friend Cathy, Amy and other family members. He gave us a lifetime of memories, laughter and love. Hug your kitties and pets tonight in honor of Momo, and all our fur babies who have crossed. Until we meet again at the Rainbow Bridge 🌈💔🌈 We will always love you.
