“It still doesn’t feel real. We miss you so much Finley.

You were our best friend with Hope, and with her, one of the bestest and nicest dogs i’ve ever met. Words can’t express what you mean to me, buddy. From your earliest days with us when you stole one of our laundry baskets as a bed, to when you stole an entire loaf of Wonder bread, to every time you would snuggle up while i was watching a show. Your normally happy and air-head demeanor won me over immediately. Not to mention your adorable bleps. And your smiles, the way you curled your lips back and actually smiled was something so rare and so loved.

I know your past was hard, being chained up and stuck in a kennel for most of your life. And despite that, you still had the heart of a puppy, ready to love on anyone you found and try to make friends with everyone…i’m SO glad Shaunie and I gave you a home, gave you a family, and loved you with all our heart.

Hope was my server build buddy, and you were my Star Trek buddy. I will never forget how you perked your head up every time Dr. Crusher came on screen during Next Generation. In addition, You quickly became my cuddle buddy every night and every time I’d watch something on the couch. I’m really going to miss you getting between my legs and laying your head on my thigh or shin. It became a tradition real fast.

And when any of us were sad, you always were there to snuggle and help us feel better. Be it Shaunie, Me, Hope, anyone.

I love you Finley. We love you. And we’re going to miss you SO much. Our baby man, our stinky man, our dummy, and our best friend.
