Alfie

After losing his battle to lymphoma, Alfie, 14 years old, of Rock Hill, SC, passed away on November 1, 2021. The lymphoma will go down as the only loss Alfie had in his life.

A dog of many names, ‘Mole,’ was rescued by Bethany Richey and Michael Ergen in Charlotte, NC. From there on, he lived a life of luxury and quickly became a dog that legends are made of. Alfonzo became the voice of the family and indeed was one we could rely on for love and comfort. Alfredo enjoyed short walks, long naps, bananas, dad’s gym socks, snuggling to watch Law and Order with his mom, Sunday Steeler games with his dad, and barking at things not there. One of Alfie’s everyday activities was chest day for Alfredo, and he never failed his family to let them know it was time for his, his brothers, and sisters’ breakfast at 4 AM daily.

Big Moe is survived by brothers Fernet, Artie, Leo, sister Gayle, and Gramma Deb. He leaves a massive hole in the hearts of his family and friends, who were entertained by his charismatic energy and sense of humor. He was beloved by everyone who ever met him.

Alfie, you were our best friend, and we love you.
