Buck

  • Date of Birth: 07/31/2007
  • Date of Passing: 11/21/2000

Everyone loved Buck and everyone in the neighborhood knew him, even our FedEx driver who would stop and give him a treat and some pets.
Buck was diagnosed with diabetes in December 2016, so our vet clinic got to know him well during his glucose screenings.
In August of 2017, our vet told us he was getting cataracts. Within a couple of weeks, he was blind and we got him into surgery.
After surgery, he was back to his normal fun loving self, but then in February of 2018, he slipped running around in the woods with my husband and tore his ACL. He had TPLO surgery and months later had torn meniscus surgery.
As he weakened with age, we adapted to his needs. He would find the energy to greet people and he was always happy.
His last couple of days were tough because he went downhill fast. He went through so much and remained happy until then.
Buck is so missed by everyone that knew him.
