Cassie Bear

My sweet Cassie went home to be with Evey early this morning, August 5th. 

Back in 2011 I made a random decision to go see if an animal shelter in Florida had German shepherds. I’m glad I made that random decision because that was the day I would meet my forever bestfriend. 

It was the day that started her life over. I adopted her just 2 weeks after she was rescued from an abusive owner prior. 

From that day on, we made memories. Lots of walks and treats. So many memories I made with that sweet girl of mine.

I had a forever partner always in the kitchen with me while I would cook and she would always get a taste. 

Christmas time was always the best because she knew how to open her presents.

Her first time on the farm in FL was amazing. She ran and ran on so many acres of land and thought she could intimidate donkeys!

I remember how much she loved to travel with me up and down I 75 between here in Michigan and Florida. 

I still have the video of her first experience with the snow. 

When I worked at pet supplies plus in the grooming salon a few years ago, I always took my tip money at the end of the work day and got her some doggy cookies that were always frosted something cute. She caught on and would always look for a cookie when I came home from work. 

I’m so glad the universe gifted me such an amazing bestfriend forever. 

She made such a great big sister to her Evey. I remember she felt Evey kick when I was pregnant because she would lay her head on my stomach. 

Since Evey passed away…..she was always by my side. Always comforting me and helping me through anxiety and panic attacks when I needed help and comfort. 

I honestly have no idea how I’m gonna get through this. Both my girls are playing in the stars and dancing on the moon. 

I miss you so much Cassie. I love you. Your pawprints are forever imprinted on my heart.  💜
