In loving memory of my fiesty Copper. We rescued you as a senior with pancreatitis and despite you being a biter (food and toy aggressive) and with three other dogs at home I couldn’t bare to see you spend your last days alone at the rescue. You bought so much energy and life to the house. You could play fetch for hours and would poke everyone with the ball when we wanted to stop. You woke me up on those days I wanted to sleep in by pushing the door so it would hit the wall and you spoke to me every day. When you wanted treats, when you wanted to go outside, when you wanted to be near me. While we were only together from July 2019 – February 2021 you will always remain in my heart. We made up for lost time with our bucket trip to the Grand Bohemian in Asheville — where you looked at yourself in a full-length mirror and realized you were a beagle-terrier mix and not great dane you thought you were — you left this world more loved than you’ll ever know. Run free Copper and wait for me at the rainbow bridge with your green tennis ball. Mommy and everyone misses and loves you so much!! xoxo
