In human years, about age 84. I adopted him from the Michigan Humane Society, Detroit location, when he was about age 2. A family had turned him in when they moved. Then, Doc’s manners were such that he was recommended for an adult home. He did not even meow for a couple more years. I kept him inside for the rest of his life, domesticating him, until a big tumor was found in his stomach. The older he got, the more vocal he became and the more we bonded. He could still run like a kitten, as recently as the beginning of this week. He stopped eating over the last few days and had diarrhea. May he rest in peace.
