11 years ago my daughter brought this little furball home and hid her in her room for days. A few months later my daughter went off to college and left me with her cat, Emmie. She became MY cat, my friend, and the biggest pain in the butt ever. But she was MY pain in the butt and I loved her so much. She slept with me every night in the bend of my knee and every morning she would sit on the bathroom counter and wait for me to turn on the water so she could drink out of the faucet. Whenever I got out the shower she would be sitting on the bathroom counter just so she could lick the drip of water off the tip of my nose. She got sick unexpectedly and I wasn’t prepared to have to say goodbye to her so soon after just a day or two of realizing she was very, very sick. All she wanted to do was cuddle and be with me and I feel like I’ve lost my best friend.
