This was one of the hardest and heartbreaking decisions to make but just as difficult and heartbreaking to see him deteriorate these past few days
I know a lot of people will say he’s just a dog . True but he was more than that in my house. He was always in protector mode , whether it was him at the front door,when i left in the morning or waiting at the door when I came home. He was there . He was a firm protector.
Protecting me , the family , the house and the grandkids.
He was always there
He would greet you at the door and walk you out
He was silly , playful, amazing , loveable and loyal . And at times a pain in my you know what.
Over the years he befriended so many people- house guests ,the mail lady ,the repair guys , the neighbors, the people walking down the street and of course all the neighbors dogs.
He was extremely faithful, even in the last Few days when it got to be his worst, he didn’t even whimper instead laid peacefully in one of his many favorite spots. He stayed for me cause he was that loyal, never letting me down
