Gandalf

Gandalf came into my life by his choice… he reached out to me from his cage at a local animal rescue. I held him for a few minutes and thought that I couldn’t bring another cat home (we had already had Aries and Orion). We left the rescue, but something about him called to me. I requested my husband bring me back there and just like that, he was mine.

Gandalf had a personaility unlike any cat I had ever met. He was my shadow, he wanted to be involved in everything I was doing, and if he didn’t approve, he would let me know. He greeted me at the door every day when I got home from work, he played fetch, and he was definitely a champion cuddler.

I will miss his incredibly loud purr, his hilarious poses, and the noises he would make when he would jump to a lower surface, but must of all I will miss his companionship.

Gandy- you were truly a light in my darkness. Your 6 years in my life was not nearly enough. I’m sorry for the last few days that you had to suffer. I hope you know how much I love you and I always will.

“And here you will stay, Gandalf the Grey, and rest from your journeys”
