Grace (Gracie)
Born July 1, 2008 in Columbia, MO.
Passed January 29, 2022, Bonita Springs, FL.
Proceeded in death by her “brothers”, Bob and Dozer.

Pet, companion, friend, family.

She gave more to us than we ever gave to her.

Grace was born on the living room floor of our house, along with 7 other siblings. Mom and dad were strays, found by one of our sons, that were most likey puppy mill refugees. The other 7 puppies were placed with friends, but Grace stayed with us, as our son’s pet.

As Grace started growing up, our son went off to school. We kept Grace for him as he pursued his education for a career. As things turned out, he finished school, married and moved across the country for his work. He was ready for Grace.
We said, No way! Grace is now OUR dog. She has been with us too long to say goodbye. She is our family.

As time moved on, things changed. My wife quit work and I began working remotely. We moved into our Class A RV and hit the road in the fall of 2014, with Grace as our Co-pilot. She was with us every day, sharing the experience with us.

Over the past 8 years we have full-time lived and traveled in our RV, with Grace. She has traveled the country with us, seeing the sights. Spending lots of time riding on the dash, or on my wife’s lap. Leaning and hanging on as we took the turns and bumps of our travels. She often rode on my lap, as I drove down the highway.

She has been from Long Beach, WA to Key West, FL, and lots of places in between.
She has been 4-wheeling in Moab, UT to Top of the World. Been to the Dog Beach in Bonita Springs, FL. Canoeing on a lake in Missouri. Hiking the mountains of WA.
Visited: The Badlands in SD, Glacer National Park, Yosemite, Yellowstone, Arches, Sequoia, Joshua Tree, Beaches on South Carolina, Pacific Ocean to Atlantic Ocean, Gulf of Mexico, and too many others to list. She has been places, seen sight and experienced beauty that many people will never have the opportunity see.
We were lucky enough to be there with her.

She was our companion, our friend, our family for all of these years.
She will always live in our hearts.
