Marley

Marley man you left us too soon & unexpectedly. We so wish we could have held you in our arms as you left us. You were so good to your sister, Little Bit, and she misses you so much. She doesn’t eat ice cubes like you enjoyed. You were a great brother to her and such a great part of our family. You were such a gentle soul and did not have a mean bone in your body. You were everybody’s friend. You were our safe place. When we needed a lift, we knew we could always count on kisses from you. You read us like a book as well, finding your way to us to hand out the kisses without us asking. We miss you so very, very much!! We can see you running around in heaven with your brother, Domino, and the two of you each sitting on Grandma’s lap. We will not say good-bye, but instead we will see you later. RIP sweet baby boy. You’ll Meet Me in the Light (author unknown)

I know that you can’t see me,
but trust me I’m right here.
    Although I’m up in heaven,
my love for you stays near.
So often I see you crying,
many times you call my name.
I want so much to lick your face
and ease some of your pain.
I wish that I could make you see
    that Heaven indeed is real.
If you could see me run and play
how much better you would feel.
But our loving God has promised me
that when the time is right,
you’ll step out of the darkness and
    meet me in the light.
