Midnight

Our Midnight was a joyous, sweet, and affectionate dog who was loved by all who knew her.

When she was younger she would repeatedly jump straight up into the air, past my hip level, to express herself when she was happy and excited. She was often bouncing about, and always perky, especially after a trip to the groomer which seemed to put a little extra pep in her step. Her fur was super soft whether short or long and she was ever the cuddly companion.

Never far from my side since the day we met when she was just 5 weeks old, we went on many hikes and trips together, and she loved our family vacations. She slowed down as she aged and in her golden years she was most fond of naps and snacks and the occasional short walk, or gazing out over the neighborhood from her perch. Aways right by my side, or as close as her old bones would allow her to be (as going up and down stairs eventually became a bit daunting).

Midnight died peacefully Friday morning at home surrounded by familiar sights, sounds, and smells, and knowing how very loved and cherished she was by her entire family. We will miss her everyday until we meet again on the rainbow bridge in the sweet by and by.

We love you dearly, sweetie Midnight, and our love is eternal. So grateful for every moment we got to share in this life. Until the next, farewell, beautiful girl.
