Phoebe

  • Date of Birth: 04/03/2011

I adopted Phoebe this past April. I was told she had kidney disease. I did not know what that meant at the time. When I was able to get a checkup in July, her vet told me her time was limited. I was hoping for a year or two but it was not meant to be. She acted normal until about October. She started to sit in a crouched position alot and started to lick the bricks outside my apartment (anemia). But about two weeks ago, her eating dramatically decreased. In her last few days, she licked a little yogurt and ate a few small pieces of salmon but no more. She had lost a lot of weight. Almost didn’t look like herself. I thought she must have been so hungry but couldn’t eat. It was then that her vet and I decided it was her time. I want anyone who reads this to know that she was a Good Girl. She played, liked other people, and loved to sit on my lap and sleep by my head at night. She was perfect! Thank you God for putting Phoebe in my life. She was wonderful and an inspiration.

I’m so sorry for the loss of your friend! I’m sure she knew in the short time you had her that you loved her and I’m sure she loved you too!
