Roxy Vandewiel

  • Date of Passing: 01/01/2021

Roxy was the sweetest girl, who just wanted to be loved. If given the choice between playing with a toy, being given a treat, or being cuddled and pet, she would choose the cuddling. She was taken from us unexpectedly after a week of rapid deterioration in health. Her housemate, Oliver, misses her dearly, as do we.

We remember how proud Roxy would be when she was given a bone for a treat. She would show everyone in the house! “Aren’t you proud of me? I have a bone!” Yes, we are all very proud of you, Roxy. We are proud of you for handling your pain how you did and still showing love even throughout all of that. We are proud of you for surviving as a stray in Kentucky before we adopted you. God only knows what you went through before you came to us. The last sight you had was of us as your pain slipped away. We would never abandon you. We are proud of you, baby girl. We are all better having known you, and I know you had the best six years of your life with us.
