Socks

I didn’t want a dog. I told my wife and son, if you get one, it’s yours not mine. I don’t want to take care of it, feed it, walk it or have a thing to do with it. I thought I could resist the charms of this little dog that they wanted to bring home. BOY! was I wrong. It didn’t take her very long to melt my heart at all. I think I loved her from the very first day she came into our house, I was hooked. Socks stole my heart, I didn’t realize how much until that awful day I watched the life light go out in her eyes. I miss her something terrible, I love her still.
