Speedy

Speedy – we had to let you go yesterday, Sunday, 12/13. You deserved to have your dignity intact. You were my buddy – my friend, and you are so very much missed, and I was with you every step of the way.
I picked you up from Krik’s over 18 years ago – when you jumped off the table and ran into the hall. You were SO fast – hence Michael named you!
The only mean bone in your body was when the sock monster came out – the Sock that mocked. Otherwise – you were the sweetest cat.
You were so handsome – your big green eyes –
You were my buddy – you slept with me, you cuddled with me – when I was on the PC you would give me my Arm and Wrist therapy – not a care in the world as I worked my mouse under you, and how you used to cradle your neck in my hand – so trusting, because you knew Daddy had you and would protect you.
You were so trusting – and I hope you know that I would never let harm come to you.
I would have given a piece of me if I knew it would have kept you here longer, but that would have been selfish of me.
You were such a big part of our life – you bumped – you let me now when it was time for wet food.
You were also our “destructor” when it came time for puzzles.
I have never seen a cat jump so high up the door when chasing the laser, and when Pop-Pop came to visit – you knew exactly what was coming- more play time.
Did I tell you how much you are missed? You truly walked on my heart – you took a piece of me when you left.
I will miss your morning walks over us to let us know it’s time to eat, your head bumps, and your subtle way you use to poke Mom with one, gentle, claw.
I know Pauly misses you – he still looks up into the Gondola waiting for you to poke your head over.
Please look for me when it’s time, please wait for me, and please be with me again.
I LOVE you so much – and I miss you SO much. I still see your beautiful handsome face, and still wait for you to hop up into bed or jump on my desk, or take your place on your Prince Pillow Mom would make for you.
