Tootsie was a sweet little girl that I rescued from SAAP on 6/22/15. Her papers said she was 3 but everyone thinks she was a few years older than that. Her life seemed to be tought before me because she had a “trick knee”, no teeth, and was a bit skidish. However, all she wanted to do was be held, petted, and loved. I had no idea how much of an impact this little dog would have on my life. Sadly, poor health forced me to make the tough decision to put her down, a mere 3 days before our first child arrived. We were hoping that they’d be able to meet, but God had other (better) plans. Now she is at the Rainbow Bridge free of discomfort.

    It's been a full year now since Tootsie has passed, and she is still very much missed! The weekend and today weather were similar to how it was last year (cold, snow, gloomy). So a lot of vividly sad memories were recalled... Thinking of Tootsie playing at the rainbow Bridge now... mouth full of teeth to eat any treat she wants and no trick knee to limit her mobility... enjoying all of it.
