DOLLY Royal Oak, MIWe had just lost our 12 year old Golden Retriever, Isabella, to cancer in December of 2009. Our remaining puppy Jesse who was now 9 years old had been devoted to Isabella and was very depressed. My wife and I decided that we should find a recue dog as a playmate for Jesse. Since we are partial to Goldens, we started working with a rescue organization in our area. We looked at three or four dogs but never made a connection with any of them. Martha Royal Oak, MII've had Martha since I was in 4th grade ( now I'm in my junior year of college). My dad won her from a hunting club that he went too. Ever since that special day I did nothing more but love her and care for her. Marley Royal Oak, MIMarley was such a sweet dog. He passed peacefully on June 3rd. We had him since he was 8 weeks old, We just got back from Jamaica and named him Marley! He was diagnosed with tonsillar cancer in October 2012. We chose chemo treatment without radiation, due to his collapsing trachea. Jenny Too Southwest MichiganMy friend and I said goodbye to Jenny on May 24th 2013. It was so hard for me to let her go but I knew she would be pain free. She was a gorgeous 14 year old. We believe she suffered a brain hemmorage. She fought to the very end. Katie Royal Oak, MIWe lost our precious baby Katie on 6/4/2013. She was recently diagnosed with GI Lymphoma-high risk. We noticed she looked like she was losing weight so we brought her in. They said at first that it was a tumor the size of a fist in her belly. When they did the surgery to remove it they found it was attached to her intestines. They removed it and did a resection on her intestines. We thought she was doing better until the results from her biopsy said it was Lymphoma
Bailey & Pepper Charlotte, NCWe said goodbye to BOTH our loving dogs on Wed 5/29/13. Pepper fought a great fight after being diagnosed with lymphomasacoma in January. Bailey was older but on Tuesday she could not make it outside on her own. Chloe Royal Oak, MIWe adopted Chloe from a hound rescue in Howell, MI on January 14, 2006. She was two years old, underweight from being a stray for some time in the middle of winter, and really in need of a home. Jordi Charlotte, NCJune 1998 Jordi was born in Tennessee, in November of that year my sister and I introduced Jordi to my ailing parents as a companion. It took a while but they warmed up to him and he grew on everybody he encountered. My parents have long passed but my mother just before she died made me promise to take care of her baby.
