My then boyfriend (now husband) and I got our beautiful golden retriever Dixie when we were in college. She was everyone’s best friend and the life of any party. She was there for all of life’s major milestones- college football tailgates, graduation, our engagement and subsequent marriage, countless moves, and the birth of our two children. She loved to swim, play at the beach, and spend time with her family. She will be missed beyond measure but we are comforted by the 13 years of memories with her and know that we will see her again one day.
