After losing my parents, I was lost and broken. Then one day I saw this photo of the most magnificent cane corso and felt pulled to inquire about her. When I met her, our connection was instant and I felt that she was sent from my parents to help me heal and heal I did. Together we earned her therapy dog certification and she brought love and joy to everyone she met. My sweet girl crossed the rainbow bridge this afternoon. We received some hard news last week, but I didn’t think it would be this fast. She wiggled for me this morning, ate a good breakfast. snuggled with me on the couch and watched me leave for work with love in her eyes. In her final act of love and protection, she kept me from having to make the hardest of decisions…she went to sleep and didn’t wake up. She was my soul dog and the best dog I have ever known…my constant companion. The best travel buddy, urban adventurer and snuggle bug that ever was. Although being without her is heart breaking, I am filled with such love and gratitude that we found each other and that Shauna DeMoss entrusted her to me. Despite the sadness, my heart is full and I am so blessed that she was mine. Rest easy my sweet baby…until we meet again!💗 #zuri #bigz #zz
